Seminars
The seminars are on hold for the summer break. We will be back after the summer!
We meet for the seminars on Mondays at 15:00 (Paris/Warsaw time), usually twice a month.
Mailing list If you work on related subjects and would like to share your work, feel free to contact us! You can also subscribe to our mailing list to stay updated on the upcoming seminars and events.
About us
The Morphodynamic Meetings, formerly the Looping Networks Meetings, bring together scientists intrigued by the diverse shapes found in nature -- from geological patterns sculpted by water, sediment transport, and erosion, to biological structures that emerge during development in response to chemical gradients and mechanical forces. How do these shapes arise? What is the relationship between the final form and the growth process that produced it? What underlying dynamics drive growth, and can we find analogies across different systems? These are just some of the questions we aim to explore. We are particularly interested in studying physical networks, such as rivers or vascular systems, and their branching or looping architectures.
Key words: morphodynamics, networks, transport, pattern formation, instabilities, morphogenesis
