Seminars

We meet for the seminars on Mondays at 3 pm (Paris/Warsaw time), usually twice a month.

The next seminar:

November 9, 2026

Mehmet Can Ucar (University of Sheffield)

Guidance and hyperuniform tiling in branching morphogenesis

About us

The Morphodynamic Meetings, formerly the Looping Networks Meetings, bring together scientists intrigued by the diverse shapes found in nature, with a particular interest in physical/transport networks.

From geological patterns sculpted by water, sediment transport, and erosion, to biological structures that emerge during development in response to chemical gradients and mechanical forces. How do these shapes arise? What underlying dynamics drive their growth? Can we find analogies across different systems? These are just some of the questions we aim to explore.

Key words: morphodynamics, networks, transport, pattern formation, instabilities, morphogenesis
